Meter-Based Unit
For protection of your motor-driven appliances, such as your washer and dryer, air conditioner, etc., we offer a meter-based surge protector. Members lease the unit for $6.95 per month. Prior to installing the unit, a CHELCO Energy Advisor will perform a surge evaluation to make sure your home is properly grounded and to check any existing surge protection you might already have. There is a $25 evaluation fee, but it also covers the cost of installation.
For sensitive electronics, such as your computer and televisions, you will need additional protection. We offer quality point-of-use surge protectors at affordable prices.
Point of Use Protectors
Our point-of-use (POU) surge protectors have been extensively tested in a lightning laboratory to ensure reliable performance. Every unit is UL 1449 safety certified and uses multiple layers of surge protection to help shield your equipment from damaging power surges. Built-in thermal protection automatically disconnects the device if it overheats, providing an added layer of safety.
