CHELCO continues to repair damage from Michael
DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla., October 12, 2018 – At approximately 10 a.m. local, 2,459 CHELCO members are without electricity.
All transmissions lines feeding CHELCO’s service territory have been repaired. CHELCO crews, contractors and crews from other cooperatives continue to work outages. Crews are expected to restore power to several large outages today, and they will continue to work Saturday and Sunday as needed.

About 15,000 members were without power Thursday morning, and that number was reduced to fewer than 2,350 by 10 p.m. CHELCO outage management system is updated as power is restored, members call in outages or the automated meter reading system detects outages. Therefore, outage numbers can fluctuate up and down.
CHELCO encourages members to call in their outages to keep our system updated and to make sure our system is current. Outages can be reported through the CHELCO Connect app or online at CHELCO.com.
