Recently retired CHELCO Trustee Patricia “Pat” Carlyle passed away Aug. 6 after a brief illness.
Carlyle served on the CHELCO Board of Trustees for 13 years.
“We have lost a great board member,” said CHELCO Board President Gerald Edmondson. “Pat was dedicated to her position. Her knowledge and perspectives were a great asset to the board. Pat always studied issues thoroughly, and made all of her decisions for our members after careful consideration about how they would be affected. She was admired for sticking to her values and will be greatly missed.”
“Those who knew Pat well at CHELCO, had the honor of experiencing the passion she had for taking care of our members. She wanted a bright future for the cooperative and our communities,” said CEO Steve Rhodes. “Pat was an enthusiastic supporter of the cooperative’s solar project. Her memory will live on in the projects she helped initiate at CHELCO.”
CHELCO is a not-for-profit electric distribution cooperative serving more than 53,000 accounts in Walton, Okaloosa, Holmes and Santa Rosa counties.
