SCAM ALERT

08.27.24: Scammers continue to get more creative. We have now received reports of someone posing as CHELCO and calling members to schedule an Energy Audit.

Energy Audits are member-initiated, and only under rare circumstances would our Energy Advisors contact a member directly without prior interaction.

Please continue to notify us if you are suspicious of any CHELCO-related interactions.

08.16.24: We received a report of someone knocking on a member's door around 8 p.m., posing as a CHELCO representative and telling the member that their power would be disconnected. Thankfully, the suspicious individual left their home after being questioned by the member.

Please remember that CHELCO representatives will be able to provide identification should they be asked, and that we will never threaten to disconnect power immediately. If you encounter a suspicious individual falsely claiming to be a CHELCO representative, please report it to CHELCO and your local authorities.
