CHELCO members, it’s time to make your voice heard! Your official ballot and Annual Meeting notice should have recently arrived in the mail. Please take a moment to vote in all trustee elections, and as recommended by our Board of Trustees and management team, please vote “Yes” on the proposed bylaws revision.

With the many technological changes that have arisen in recent years, CHELCO is proposing to modernize its governance bylaws. Allowing for more flexibility in our electronic communications is the primary reason for revising the bylaws in 2025. However, because this process is usually only performed every few years, we are also proposing other revisions and updates to the bylaws. A sampling of some of those areas of change follows –

• Member Consent to Electronic Communications
• Voting & Meetings of Members
• Wiring of Premises and Service Rules & Regulations
• Patronage Capital
• Change of Address for the Headquarters Facility

Members are invited to view all the proposed changes to the bylaws at CHELCO.com/2025-proposed-bylaws-changes or by scanning the QR code. Please visit one of our six area offices if you want a printed copy.

Ballots are due to the independent auditor on or before April 8.
